Rogue Forest Bed & Breakfast
The Rogue Forest Bed & Breakfast is located within the National Wild and Scenic corridor of the Rogue River in Southern Oregon near Grants Pass. The B&B sits within a steep forested canyon just above Rockie Riffle, a Class II rapid.
Guest Suites include luxurious king-size beds, private bath, private decks, fireplaces, gourmet organic breakfasts. The architecture of the inn complements the surrounding forest.
Just being at the Rogue Forest surrounds guests with the sights, smells and sounds of the wilderness. It's an easy place to sit in front of the fire (in cooler weather) or laze around on the decks (in warmer weather) and enjoy the flora and fauna of the river corridor that surrounds you.
Outdoor Activities For getting up and into the outdoors, there is much to do that varies with the time of year you're planning on visiting. Here are some possibilities: Explore the river down at the water's edge from numerous places along a 15-mile reach. Hike 1 1/2 miles into the river's roadless area to Rainie Falls and watch salmon leap the falls. During the hot days of summer, take a full day or 1/2 day guided float trip and enjoy the view from midstream. Fish for steelhead or salmon: from the bank or via drift-boat with a guide. Take a swim in the Rogue's warm summer waters. Take a leisurely drive on the Rogue Scenic Byway through spectacular wild river canyons. Watch for bears, otter, beaver and turtles and if you're lucky maybe even a bobcat! Go birding and identify pileated woodpeckers, ouzels, hummingbirds, mergansers, bald eagles, great blue herons, and osprey. "There's gold in them thar hills" so hike to a historic gold miner cabin or pan for gold yourself. On a clear night from the decks, watch for shooting stars through the Milky Way.
Depending on what activities you might be interested in, we can help make the arrangements for you.
Fish the Rogue River The Rogue River is famous for its year-round salmon and steelhead fishing. We can help you find the perfect gravel bar for bank fishing or refer you to a driftboat fishing guide.
