Brightwood Guest House B&B
Expect to be pampered at the Brightwood Guest House: cedar paneled interior, large bath & kitchenette are so well provisioned guests need bring only themselves. Shampoos & rinse, exotic bath lotions & potions are provided, as are kitchen cupboards filled with dishes & flatware, coffee, cocoa & cider mix, spices & herbs, popcorn tea and coffee. Breakfast is a special event (Organic as possible) featuring at least 5 courses and may include sweet potato waffles, fire-roasted potatoes, tropical fruit and yogurt parfait, seared vegetable fritatta, cream-stuffed french toast, fresh berries & whipped cream, crab casserole, country sausage, and lemon cake. Outdoors, the covered fireplace and wooden claw-foot soaking tubs will delight, rain, snow or shine. Later, nestle into the queen feather bed on cotton sheets. Each room has vases of fresh flowers, with more blooming outside. Birds animate large sunny windows, attracted to the koi pond & waterfall off private deck. Ringed by 90 year old fir & cedar, secluded by a clear creek & forested hill & centered on 2 acres of the historic Barlow Road. The Guest House is the former site of a pioneer way station.
